Rosarium

The Rosarium consists of five rose patterns formed on the walls of foyers and corridors resembling pixels or cross stitch embroidery. The image is based on three old rose cultivars discovered in Helsinki and named after their respective locations. The tile patterns express multicultural history, being shaped after rosette symbols from various eras found in urban spaces in Helsinki. The Rosarium installation is located in the Meilahti Bridge Hospital, Helsinki (FI). Ceramic tiles were made in Vaja Finland, Porvoo (FI).
