A Bullock and Wildflowers

The traditional landscape of Seili is maintained through livestock grazing. The cow in the drawing has eaten all the flowers growing in the meadow. This style of illustration is based on composite miniatures painted in Persian and Hindustani cultures, in which several animals combine to form a single, larger animal. They illustrate, how all is one, and one is all, that we are all of the same flesh.
